Atlantic Building Envelope maintains and furnishes to its employees a comprehensive Safety and Loss Control Program including safety protocols compliant with OSHA and Fall protection hazards and guidelines to ensure the safety of the employee(s), surrounding pedestrian(s) and adjacent assets are always protected from hazards arising from construction activities.

The company prior to initiation of work provides to the employees safety training of site specific hazards and obstacles that may be encountered when executing various scopes of work.

The employees through the local union or company receive the following safety and quality training:

  • Certified CPR/First Aid
  • Certified Training in OSHA 12 and/or 30 hour.
  • Certified City of Boston Scaffolding Compliant.
  • Quality education and training in various roofing systems and applications.
  • Quality education and training in various waterproofing systems and applications.
  • Certified Apprenticeship education and training.
  • Energy conservation and efficiency training.

(Members of the union are drug tested by their local union)

The Safety and Loss Control Program is provided to the customer at each project site which the company is actively contracted to complete.

Material Safety Data Sheets and/or Safety Data Sheet are issued and provided to the competent field personnel managing the site.

Atlantic Building Envelope provides site specific safety plans based on the special and unique characteristics of the project site conditions. This may involve specific concerns regarding logistics in the delivery of the materials, equipment, and field personnel. Specific items of concern can be (stress-strain/overloading), fall hazards, fall protection, material utilization and applications, and environmental conditions encountered may include but are not limited to the following: lighting, noise, dust, debris, and other construction related activities which may involve large crane location, points of contact, support, and proper rigging; along with various permitting requirements.

Atlantic Building Envelope maintains on retainer a Construction Safety Consultant, which is engaged to perform project site inspections, make recommendations based on potential fall hazards, and provide guidance that all relevant OSHA standards are complied with prior to construction, in progress, and at project completion.

Inspection Intervals:

  • Project start
  • Mid-point (50% complete)
  • Project completion (de-mobilization)

Contingent on logistics, hazards, and complexity of the project site there may be more, or less inspections as represented in the forgoing, which shall be determined by Atlantic Building Envelope LLC
